This blog post shouldn’t exist. The very words you are reading should have never been written. Writing about my recent trip to Thailand during the holidays wasn’t according to plan. And it wasn’t according to plan not because I didn’t want to repeat myself and publish yet another post about a trip on the other side of the world. My blog posts are not about narrating any event that happened to me anyway.

Like last year, also for this year’s summer holidays I have decided to travel through the (in)famous Italian tour operator specialized in organizing hard core trips. I am talking about Viaggi e Avventure nel Mondo (Trips and Adventures Around the World), the tour operator funded in the 70s targeting people who have so many holidays that can afford to go travel with them first and then take a further week off to recover.

One of the benefits of social media is that you can stay updated on what is happening in the life of friends and acquaintances without having to meet them. This is especially true for old mates from school, those that you left behind ages ago when you decided to move to another city to pursue your studies.

The economy has become in the last few decades more and more intangible. We went from a product-based economy, where agricultural and industrial outputs constituted the majority of the goods, to a service-based economy. Due to the digital era, even services became more and more immaterial.

It’s Christmas time again! After going through a very intense period at work, I can now finally take some time off. My intention for the holidays is to do nothing but basking into the sweetness of the Christmas atmosphere and enjoying the magic of this time of the year.

Few months ago, I have decided to finally finish furnishing and decorating my apartment. I moved in more than two years ago and I’ve been living in an almost empty apartment ever since. So much so that in the living room, if I paid close attention, I could even hear the echo.

Summer has just started and for the first time I’m ready to welcome it with a summer-compliant body to show off. After years of trial and errors, I have devised the right strategy to finally get that summer look I had always longed for.

Ah dating! What better thing to do to occupy my free time than dating. Once my house is clean and in order, the grocery shopping has been taken care of, the bills are paid, workout is crossed off from my to-do list, how else would I want to employ my remaining free time if not going on a date with a stranger?

Sometimes I don’t feel like working. At all. So much so that I rather clean all the toilets of my company’s offices here in Switzerland than working. I’m aware that asking my boss to clean the toilets will only get me so far and this is why I devised another long-term strategy to fight against lazy days at work.

After the binge of the Christmas holidays, January has always been the month dedicated to detox and to establish healthier habits. Among the initiatives that I discovered as being considered cool by wannabe Instagram celebrities that I follow, there are “Veganuary” and “Dry January”.
